There must be a way you can let her know you still care. How about sending her a card or
flowers? Was there a special song that you two shared? If so, you could send her a recording or even the sheet music. Dear Deb ... I read your reply to Bernard and it reminded me of a woman I know who sent the sheet music for one of her favorite songs to an old friend she hadn't seen in years. The two old friends got back in touch and later married. I wish I could report that this story had a happy ending but, sadly, it doesn't. As it turns out, the woman was unhappily married and decided to see if she could get lucky a second time, so she sent the same sheet music to an old boyfriend who ended up contacting her. They started out innocently writing to each other via e-mail and it quickly turned into a full blown affair. Her husband eventually found out after accidentally reading one of her e-mails from her lover, and he tracked the guy down and shot him. The woman is now divorced and her ex-husband is a fugitive. Maybe you should think twice about telling people to send sheet music to a lost love. From Deb ...Well, that's not exactly what I had in mind. I knew of a story that had a much happier ending.
