Deb took us to the Vet
yesterday to get our annual check up and shots. We went into
our cat carriers
like the good little angels we are, but we didn’t care for the car ride over
very much. Nell and I cried and made noises we don’t normally make (unless we are exceptionally put
off).
Once we arrived at the Pet Hospital we went
back to our best behavior. Well… there were other cats there you know and we
didn't want to look
stupid.

Our Doctor is very nice,
so we don’t act up much with her. Nell went first.
She’s a funny girl, a
regular Nervous Nell--go ahead and try to even touch her (click on the little,
black cat and you'll see what I mean!).

But today Nell stayed calm. As the doctor was examining
Nell’s ears, which are very clean, Deb mentioned that I am the one who
actually cleans Nell’s ears. I do, really. The Vet also noticed a little nip
on Nell’s right ear. Heh, heh… guess I got caught, huh?
It was my turn next. Once
coaxed from my carrier, I was put on the scale and weighed. I stepped on the
scale myself this morning as I was making my usual rounds, but she weighed me
anyway. 9.9 lbs. Yeah, I could've told you that.
The doctor checked my
eyes and ears and took my temperature. I didn’t really like the thermometer in my,
um… But Deb and the Vet cooed and said things like "You’re my boy"
and "You’re so good". What can I tell you..? I’m a man and I love
that kind of talk.
Nell and I both got a
gold star and a little
treat for being good and it’s great to know we are in fine health. We got
our shots (which
didn’t hurt at all) and we’re all set for another year. We were quiet on the
ride back and very happy to be home
sweet home.

.. all that writing made
me tired, and
maybe a little hungry too.
