We
watched an off beat movie the other night that
might approach the status of being a classic. The
title was Glengarry Glen
Ross. The movie lacked sex appeal or
special effects, but made up for it in acting quality. Jack
Lemmon, Al Pacino, Ed Harris, and Allan Arkin play real estate
salesman who use every trick in the book to sell undeveloped
real estate for investment purposes.
Their employer announces that only the two leading
salesmen will keep their jobs at the end of the month. Pacino is
excellent as the only salesman making any money. Lemmon is even
better as the former sales leader who is in a prolonged sales
slump and is desperate to close a deal to pay his daughter's
medical bills. Wait until the kids go to bed though. The profanity
flows like a river. It's so strange to hear Jack Lemmon talk
that way
