It not only has an incredibly large and vibrant 10-inch touchscreen display with detailed mapping and charting capabilities, but also includes a very powerful sonar system. This allows me to quickly and accurately identify the depth, structure, and bottom composition of the water I’m fishing in. In addition to the sonar, the GPSMAP 8610xsv also has a built-in HD radar system allowing me to monitor the weather around me. The radar system also contains an Automatic Identification System which gives me data on any nearby boats, as well as monitoring their movement so I can remain safe on the water. All in all, the Garmin GPSMAP 8610xsv Chartplotter Sounder has everything I need for a great day out on the water and I highly recommend it.
