This book is an excellent way to develop a solid foundation of music theory and get your feet wet in the world of music. The book is very well organized, with plenty of illustrations, diagrams, and examples to help build an understanding of the topics being discussed. I especially love the way this book is laid out. There are clearly defined sections, and each one builds on the previous one, so you can work through the book in a logical fashion.
